In summary
- Marc Leishman will play three consecutive weeks of the Australian Summer of Golf, from the BMW Australian PGA Championship to the Vic PGA.
- He will defend his Victorian PGA Championship title at Moonah Links from December 10-13, chasing a third win there after 2008 and 2025.
- His father, Paul, will join him as pro-am playing partner at the Vic PGA, having caddied for him alongside son Harvey last year.
The Ripper GC star will begin his run at The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney for the BMW Australian PGA Championship from November 26-29, before heading to Kingston Heath Golf Club in Melbourne for the Capital.com Australian Open from December 3-6.
He will then finish the three-week stretch at Moonah Links Resort on the Mornington Peninsula at the Vic PGA from December 10-13, where he will be attempting to win the title for the third time following on from 2008 and 2025.
Leishman’s return to the Vic PGA will also have a special family connection, with his father, Paul, set to join him as his pro-am playing partner over the Open and Legends courses.
Last year, he played with his son Harvey in the teams event, with Paul as caddie.
When the Australian Open was last played at Kingston Heath in 2024, he finished in a tie for third, earning one of the exemptions on offer to play at The Open.
“I’m really looking forward to spending a few weeks back home and playing these three events,” Leishman said.
“It’s always special to compete in Australia, and having the opportunity to play across three consecutive weeks in Sydney and then back home in Victoria will be a great way to the end the year.
“The PGA and Open have eluded me so far. Getting my name on the trophy for one of both of them is high on the priority list and I feel like my game’s in a good place to contend this year at two courses I’ve seen in championship mode before.
“Having Dad alongside me in the pro-am at the Victorian PGA Championship will make that week even more special. It’s great to share those experiences with family like I did with Harvey, and I’m sure we’ll have a lot of fun out there.
“Dad will be very keen to make the cut in the teams event I’m sure.”
PGA of Australia General Manager of Tournaments and Global Tour Relationships Nick Dastey said: “It’s fantastic to have Marc in the fields for three consecutive weeks on the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia schedule.
“He’s one of our most popular players in the past 20 years and his involvement in the BMW Australian PGA Championship, Capital.com Australian Open and Victorian PGA Championship gives fans another opportunity to watch him compete on home soil.
“Having his Dad alongside him in the Vic PGA Championship pro-am adds a great personal element to the week, and we’re looking forward to welcoming Marc back as he looks to defend his title.”
