Motocaddy PROTEKTA

The Motocaddy Protekta didn’t disappoint. Premium, waterproof materials, vast pockets and superb club organisation make it a real standout. No clanking clubs make for a peaceful round and the well placed handles make it easy to move around.
Well placed handles makes it very easy to manoeuvre the bag in and out of the car and setting up on the trolley. I liked the rubberised back that meant there was no slippage when sat on the cart.
With 10 pockets you will never be short of storage space and the main pockets are absolutely vast. They are well designed and it makes accessing all of the pockets really easy once set up. I would have preferred a double zip set up for the front pockets but the quality is superb and they seem very durable.
PROS
- Club organisation – reduces noise
- Vast storage
- Stability on the trolley
- Waterproof
- Lightweight
CONS
- Some might like some brighter colour options

Srixon 2025 Premium Cart Golf Bag

This is a seriously smart cart bag that will house all of your equipment allowing you to stay organised when you are on the course.
It’s also impressively lightweight and easy to transfer from your trolley into your car boot and vice versa.
It is simply packed with ingenious features – Srixon have really done their homework on the kinds of things we golfers take out with us for a round and then found a great solution on where to put it – a great example is the pen holder. I didn’t even know I needed one until I tried this bag – but it’s really handy!
PROS
- A home for everything!
- Love the grab handles on the top
- Smart looks

Big Max Dri Lite Sport 3 Cart Bag

I was really impressed with the Big Max Dri Lite Sport 3. It has some fantastic features, looks great and gives great adaptability for all your storage needs. It feels light on the trolley and this makes the trolley easy to manoeuvre.
The Big Max Dri Lite cart bag has a lightweight design and well-placed handles make it easy to lift, while the bag fits securely on a trolley without slipping.
With ample storage space, a 14-way club divider, and a large cooler pocket, this bag offers both organisation and convenience for golfers.

Big Max Dri Lite Prime Golf Cart Bag

Merely describing the features of this bag does not really do it justice. It is a phenomenally well designed product. The more substantial material and clever pocket design, makes it seem a little slimmer than most cart bags without sacrificing storage.
This makes it a bit more manageable when lugging it in and out of a car or locker.
It is not cheap, but it is a premium product throughout and, in my opinion, one of the best cart bags out there.
PROS
- Great look
- Innovative storage
- Oozes quality
- Mangeable size

Ping Traverse 2025 Cart Bag

I put this on my electric trolley and the recesses in the base made it sit very securely. The strap pass-through channels were well positioned and allowed for a neat appearance. I do like this feature on bags.
The size of cart bags means that space is rarely an issue and the two large side pockets provide ample storage. Inside each are 2 small pockets, one with a key clip. Both side pockets have smaller zip pockets on the outside for valuables etc.
The Ping Traverse cart bag absolutely stands up to others on its own merits. It is packed with well thought-out features with great ergonomics. Add to this the amazing price and it has to be a contender for one of the best value cart bags out now.
PROS
- Good looks
- Well thought-out storage
- Fantastic value

Wilson Alpine Cart Bag

The size and appearance are fairly standard for a cart bag. The top is 11 x 9.5 inches with 14 full length dividers with a dedicated putter divider. I found the clubs went in and out particularly well with this bag which is a good start. The base has a squarish cut out allowing it to sit well in my Motocaddy trolley.
Combined with the well thought out strap pass-through system at the top, it was absolutely rock solid on the trolley. The pass-through system allows the strap to pass completely under the top of the bag although on my trolley it worked a bit better when just through the front portion. It gave it a nice clean look as well.
On either side there are 2 large apparel pockets and a soft-lined valuables pocket with a waterproof zip. I really like having 2 valuable pockets. It stops your keys scratching your phone and lets you have one pocket where you can put important stuff in and not open it until the end of the round, minimising the risk of something inadvertently falling out on the course.
These days, whatever cart bag you buy will do a pretty good job. In my opinion the Wilson Alpine cart bag is right up there in terms of features. In particular the magnetic pocket and pass-through strap features are really useful enhancements.
PROS
- Good looks
- Lots of storage
- Many clever features
- Decent price

Sun Mountain H2NO Staff Cart Bag

The pockets themselves are particularly spacious, and I was able to fit in all the essentials, including waterproofs, with plenty of spare room left. The pocket for valuables is lined with a soft fabric to stop phones, for example, from getting marked. Each pocket is also waterproof and uses water-resistant zips with sealed seams for added security from the weather. For practical reasons, the pockets are forward-facing which means they’re easier to access.
Sun Mountain always seem to put care and thought into their designs, which shows in the H2NO. The waterproof protection is a real comfort when out on the course.
The Sun Mountain H2NO staff cart bag uses the now more common 14-way dividers. The dividers were high quality, with the ones on the outside slightly bigger than the middle ones. Dividers are designed so that the woods are loaded in the middle of the bag and the irons down the sides. There is also a putter holder at the top of the bag to stop it from hitting any of your other clubs.
I enjoyed using the bag. Its waterproofing was extremely effective during sudden downpours, nothing in the bag got wet – all was protected. There was more than enough storage for someone who was travelling abroad and having to pack for a couple of rounds. So, on a round-to-round basis, I can’t see there being any issues with a lack of room.
Overall, I think this Sun Mountain H2NO bag should definitely be considered for a cart bag, especially with how wet our winter months get.
PROS
- Slick colour schemes
- Double waterproofing
- 14 way club protection
- Plenty of pocket space
CONS
- On the expensive side – but currently available at reduced prices

Vessel Lux XV 2.0 Cart Bag

The 15-way top ensured that all my clubs were easily accessible and there was no rattling about. If you wish, you can purchase an additional club organiser, that sits above the 15-way top but I can’t really see the need for that.
And as for the pockets, everything just works. There has clearly been a lot of thought put into the design of the pockets, and it was a delight to use. There is space for everything you need for a round of golf and more besides. Admittedly, when fully loaded, the bag is pretty heavy; after all the bag itself weighs almost 10lbs. But it’s designed with plenty of handles, so it’s easy enough to load into and out of a car boot and onto a trolley or cart.
We encountered some rain showers during testing and the bag, with the rain cover fitted, it kept everything nice and dry.
To summarize, I think that the Vessel Lux XV 2.0 is a first-class trolley or cart bag. It looks clean and classy, is really well-designed, and even though it’s not cheap, I think it represents excellent value for money as its timeless design and robust construction will offer many years of enjoyable use.
PROS
- Sumptuous appearance and construction.
- Excellent pocket configuration.
- Good range of colours.

MacGregor Principal 14.0 Golf Trolley Bag

I was particularly impressed with the exceptional organisation that is available when using the bag. A 10″, 14-way top of the bag with three full-length dividers makes for easy club placement and access, so you aren’t scrambling for a club between shots. It also stops your clubs from tangling together, which has irritated even the most calm and level headed golfer golfers.
Accessibility is a key feature of the MacGregor Principle 14.0 trolley bag as its pockets are designed for easy access with being forward-facing, also making each one useful. With the warmer days gradually making a more frequent appearance, most of us will be taking extra supplies out on the course to keep hydrated. There is also a cool pocket located at the front of the bag to allow the storage of food and drink.
This MacGregor trolley bag has enough space for all your essentials with its nine strategically placed pockets including seamless velour-lined valuable pocket. All bases are covered for even the most supplied golfers.
PROS
- Plenty of space and storage
- Looks great
- Lightweight
- Well priced
- Easy to transport

Powakaddy Dri-Tech Golf Bag

Straight away, this is a really smart-looking golf bag. This bag comes with five different colour options. I tested it in gunmetal with Powakaddy’s signature yellow on the trims.
There is certainly a lot of room in this golf bag, even I, who takes everything but the kitchen sink out on the golf course with me, couldn’t fill up all seven spacious pockets provided. If I was being picky it would be nice to have a separate water bottle pocket/holder so you can easily access your drink. However, there is plenty of space in the rest of the bag to keep a water bottle or two.
There is also a built-in umbrella holder, a towel holder and a scorecard holder on the front of the middle pocket.
It comes with a 14-way divider for your clubs which keeps your clubs separated nicely and makes it very easy to find what club you want quickly. There is also a large dedicated putter bay that can house any size of putter grip, this is extremely useful for players with large putter grips that wouldn’t fit in a conventional club slot.
This bag is waterproof thanks to its heat-welded coating, which so far has successfully kept my golf clubs dry in light and heavy rain. The pockets have superior heat-welded seams to keep water out. In previous experiences with this tech, the pockets can become very hard to access but Powakaddy have done a very good job of making all your kit accessible.
PROS
- Lightweight
- Lots of storage
- Waterproof
- 14-way club divider

Ogio All Elements Silencer Cart Bag

The Ogio All Elements Silencer cart bag will certainly grab people’s attention. There is a new 15-way moulded WOODĒ top, aiming at separating your clubs for damage and noise prevention.
This is a sizeable golf bag offering a huge amount of storage space with varying pocket sizes. This bag is also fully waterproof with sealed zippers for extra protection.
The silencing element may only appeal to a minority of golfers. However, with that said, it is actually much better for the condition of your clubs.
The silencer technology is not the only thing going for this bag. The eye-catching, bold designs are really fun and exciting and this offers an incredible amount of storage for golfers who want to pack everything into their golf bag.
PROS
- Range of designs/colours
- Plenty of storage
- All weather friendly
CONS
- Might not be visually appealing to everyone

Titleist Cart 14 StaDry Golf Bag

This is a great-looking golf bag. I would have liked any of the seven different colour choices Titleist offers in the Cart 14 StaDry bag, but this all navy option is really cool. I couldn’t believe how light it was with nothing in it, weighing in at just 2.7kg; I thought a bag that was this waterproof was certain to be heavier.
I don’t see how a brand can make a waterproof cart bag any better than this. It’s a bold statement, but I stand by it. Titleist have been making seriously good cart bags for a long time now and have pretty much covered all of the golfer’s needs.
I tested this bag on one of the worst golfing days of the year during one of National Club Golfers equipment testing weeks at my home club Sand Moor in Leeds. It rained. A lot. For pretty much the entire time we were out on the course. Perfect conditions for a waterproof bag test, I guess.
This is definitely one of the better Titleist bags I’ve ever used and is a radical shift from that old leather tour bag I used to have. It is at the top end of the price up at £250 recommended retail price, but if you are a fairly serious golfer who wants to get a lot of kit in the golf bag for top performance potential or just live in the UK where it seems to rain all the time, it s a good investment in your game and will last for years.
PROS
- Lightweight
- More storage than you could ever wish for
- Definitely waterproof
- 14-way club divider
CONS
